Default Oil Pressure

Hey boys,

just wondering if the oil pressure is the same throughout the entire car or is it different at certain spots. Really I'm asking if I am using an oil relocation kit and that kit has ports to tap into for an oil pressure gauge and my oil feed line for the turbo, would it be the same as if I would be T'ing off from the oil pressure sensor as some of the other kits do.

Any help would be primo!!

Cheers.

yes and no, i guess. I have my oil pressure sensor connected on the oil relocation plate as well and when on gas I do see the normal 80-90ish psi but at idle I see it at as low as 15ish. I don't think there is enough pressure to read the normal 30psi

If your oil filter relocation kit flows as well as it should, the pressure at the new filter location should be just a hair lower then it was at the stock location. Pressure drop through the lines is normal, but it's going to be very slight. 2-3psi would be the extreme outer edge of the pressure drop if it flows the way it should.

So would it be okay to use the oil filter relocation kit to supply oil to the turbo?
