Default Oil pressure sensor for AEM EMS

I know some of you are running a less expensive sensor for oil pressure (than AEM's way too expensive one) and I was wondering what they are etc..
I will be monitoring the sensor via serial gauge/ EMS

Thanks guys.

AEM has a new line of brass sensors hitting the shelves. Street price should be right around $60 for the 100 PSI model.

Bought the new copper series AEM sensor.
Cheap and should work just as good.

I have the Defi sensor and gauge and it worked great until I cut the plug off and hard wired the wires together. I did this to get rid of the bulky plug that was around heat and want to wrap the wires in heatshielding. It lasted for about a week and then started spazzing out and the gauge shows weird pressures and hangs up. I haven't looked into my wiring connections after doing this and I don't think the connections are bad but I wouldn't have thought the cutting the plug off and hardwiring it would cause this. Anyone know anything about this. Maybe I used the wrong solder on the connections or something that the sensor doesn't like?

Also, my sensor is down off the stock sensor area on a T fitting and maybe just the heat from the manifold messed the sensor up. My manifold is jet hot coated though. Anyone have any idea to my problem or know if these sensors are sensitive to heat or vibration or even cutting the plug off and hardwiring it? Wrong solder maybe?
