Default Oil relocator kit doesn't fit

I am halfway thru installing my inline turbo kit and ran into a problem. The piece that screws in to the stock filter location will not go fully in to place because it is rubbing on the turbo.

Any tips? I was thinking about trying to grind down part of the piece. Here is a pic for reference.

Turns out I missed the obvious. The factory oil cooler must be removed which gives another inch of clearance. Problem solved.

i thought it looked a bit far from the block

here's a legitimate question though, with the factory oil cooler gone will i run into heat issues with my oil? I have lines running to my oil filter but no cooler in between anymore, is the ambient air over the lines/filter enough?

Yes, it's the inline kit. Fits like a charm once you remove the stock oil cooler.

A cheapy oil cooler from Summit or the like should alleviate any concerns about oil temperature. Or if you want to be baller the $450+ greddy oil cooler kit would also work. Oil pressure might start to be affected running oil lines to it a cooler and a remotely mounted filter however. Only way to really verify that last statement is with an oil pressure gauge and a good old fashioned before and after test.

Has any one ran an oil temp gauge before removing the OEM oil cooler and after to verify?

Is this normal to have to remove the oil cooler with Inline Pro kits.
