I can only recomend LoveFab, since you have 8grand...6500 for the kit, get your self some gauges, intake filter and spend the balance on the tuning...320whp will blow your mind for a while don't worry..thats still 120whp more than stock..thats and increase of 60%,go imagine....

Right now (notice the right now) the most reliable way to go FI is with a stock SC setup. While the turbo kits that are out there like Lovefab is great quality, the TUNERS are not all equal. Your going to spend quite a bit of money on just getting the right tune. You're reliability is going to depend on how well your tuner knows his job, whether he had a fight with the misses last night, if he had his morning cup of coffee, and finally if he knows what he's doing.

The base SC setup pretty much eliminates this as there is no tuning required. If you want to go to smaller pulley to up psi... all bets are off.

Or you could just get the base SC with 4.57 gear set... You'll think your making 350hp at the wheels

Comptech sc with ac = 4999
install if you can't do it yourself = 1000 (depends on the shop)
Comptech reinforced diff = 250
Richs 4.57's = 600
diff install kit = 100
Install of gears in diff = 250
Diff removal and install = ?

Around $7200. About the only thing you might want after all that is a new clutch, hardtop guy has a good deal on comptech flywheel, act hd clutch, stock disc, and throwout bearing for like 899 or something.

If you can do the SC install yourself that'll save a lot of money. I don't recommend do the gear install yourself unless your experienced or have a someone help who is. You screw that install up and your going to cry.

6500 may get you a lovefab kit, but if you have to pay for install its going to suck up the rest of your money, and you still need to get a tune. You mentioned you drag race... Then you WILL want to get the reinforced diff at the minium, and the gears since your going to be there anyway. You doing want to be dropping the clutch on the stock diff running that much HP. And your clutch is going fry DAMNED fast as well.

So in very little time you'll be dropping another 900 on a clutch and if you blow the diff over $2000.

The Lovefab kit is beautifully made, and can be reliable. But its not the plug and play that the SC'rs are and its going to cost you more to make it reliable. $8000 is a good start on a Lovefab, but you really need 10k to 12k. If you were just installing it to do it, and didn't drag race or track race, and you could do all the install yourself $8000 would probably do it.

BTW if you're drag racing, SC or turbo, get the reinforced diff at the minium or your may regret it.

I just added a bunch of stuff in my previous post. You might wanna read it.

I'd say 400-500 for a good tune with dyno and road time. If you get the turbo make sure they just don't do a dyno tune.. MAKE them do a road tune after the dyno. Lots of things change once its off the dyno and on the road.

SC kits are pretty much just preference. Both make about the same power, both are reliable. I have the Comptech, they support their product better than Vortech. They are a honda only company who really know these cars. But the Vortech kits is damn good too. Just don't call for support.

The vortech kit is quieter but requires you to tap the oil pan. The Comptech is louder but less invasive. I wouldn't recommend either being installed by a novice or the non technically inclined on a daily driver. Just because you can't afford to have problems if you don't do something right.

Don't let all this scare you from the a turbo if your hearts set on it. Just be prepared to spend more money and plan ahead if you have issues.

For a daily driver that MUST run, here's what I would do... and am working myself.

Comptech SC - Installed
Comptech reinforced diff with 4.57's gears. - Next year( better performance and strengthens a weak point on the car)
Comptech Fly/act hd clutch/stock disc and bearing - Hopefully next year (because I'll need it sooner or later anyways)

I don't drag race or drop my clutch, so I'm not at much risk of blowing my diff. My clutch will probably slip or die before my diff. Once you get the stronger clutch, your diff is going to take more of a beating.

Replacing the diff before it blows will save you tons of money. The 4.57 gears greatly improve your launch and are much stronger than stock. About the only thing you might want to add is a yellow box to fix your mileage.

If you know your getting a new clutch no matter what you might want to do it first. You need to get to some bolts that require you to lower the engine. You can do it with the SC in place, but it MIGHT be easier with out it in the way.

BTW this is just my OPINION, and its a good route for me. YOU might be different, other's have been successful using other methods. Again the Lovefab kit is amazing, but it requires more attention and knowledgable tuners to make it reliable. The diff replacement is optional, but STRONGLY recommended if your tracking and dragging your car. The biggest issue your'll have with the LoveFab is the tune, and bad tune will destroy your motor.

The other thing for me at least was the SC'rs are CARB legal... means you can have them in any of the 50 states and pass inspection. No Turbo kit right now will make it through inspection. If you have a state using cali emissions you can't legally install it.
