I would be interested in seeing if there are any gains between NEW oem coilpacks vs. NEW Okada coilpacks. If so, I would be interested in a set.

My point is, from an experimental standpoint, replacing used OEM coilpacks with new OEM coilpacks would/should/could also give a net HP gain.

This is no different than testing a used stock air filter with a new aftermarket one. Experimentally the new aftermarket one might perform as well as a new stock filter. If there are gains at that point, then the aftermarket product make sense to purchase.

I tested a set of Okada vs stock coils on my 2007 with just over 4,000 miles on the stock coils. I changed the plugs the morning of the test before driving to the dyno. I did one pull with stock coils and then one with Okada coils. I gained 7 HP at peak and a smoother curve. HOWEVER, I am running a KW high boost SC kit. You will not see these gains running NA.

The Okada coil packs are great if you're trying to squeeze every little HP out and you're not on a budget.

I know as soon as I post this someone will ask for the dynos. I will try and post them when I get home but I make no guarantees (wife and kid come first).
