Okay so I was tired of looking at all the rust where an old battery must have spilled and ate through the paint so me and a buddy decided to tackle that tonight. He has a super expensive canon camera so I guess I as well as you guys will be able to enjoy a break from my usual Iphone camera

So heres what it looked like when we began :|

Then we started to sand and feather out the down to metal spots so it blends

Nice coat of primer

And a coat of New formula red in a can Didn't know napa can mix specific color codes in an aerosol can but this is my first time trying it and it looks awesome!

Great progress man!

Few questions-

The accessory indentation where you ran the harness through - is that not inside the engine bay? Where does it come through the firewall?

The boost solenoids under the windshield cowl looks clean, but doesn't water get down there? When you wash the car?

Thanks!

The accessory indentation that I ran the harness through runs adjacent to the original hole it comes through on the firewall except it leads inside the cabin of the car.

I didn't locate my boost solenoid in the windshield cowl but rather in the passenger fender. I'll post pics on Wednesday how I ran the vacuum lines and where I put my solenoid.

thanks for the info. I'm about done with my fusebox rewiring as well, but installed the fusebox in the passenger footwell because i didn't feel like pulling the fender or liner if a fuse blew. My old fusebox area is in the same shape as yours and i'll probably paint it like you. How much did you pay to have the paint put in the aerosol can?

No problem. It didn't take long at all. I used 120 grit on the heavier rusted areas and then 600 before primer. You will need a self-etching primer if you get down to metal. This actually penetrates bare metal and seals it off from any future rusting.

The body color paint in an aerosol can from napa was $35. I live in Toronto though so we usually pay a premium for everything up here. I'm sure it would cost considerably less in the lower 48

Wow, thats pricey. I bought a can of custom oem spray in a can,a couple years ago at a local (well known in my area) paint shop, I think I paid $13 bucks, lol.

Okay so today was a good day working on the S2k

My precision 750 arrived and I was a bit skeptical on how everything was going to fit but it worked out AWESOME! This thing is HUGE!

To start off, as promised here is where I located my boost solenoid in the passenger fender. I made a small bracket up and installed it on one of the screws of the EPS module.

Next I had to grind the ears/tabs off the intercooler in order for it to fit between the frame rails. I then got some angle iron and made these little brackets and hit them with some black paint

I also fitted my Meth bottle between the intercooler and the A/C condenser. I opted to put it here since the spoon hardtop is a bit of a pain in the ass to take off and this makes it nice and easy to pop the hood and check the level or fill it up! I had to modify the bracket Deception gave me since things were tight with that intercooler! lol

I then started working on my battery relocation in the trunk. The battery is an odyssey PC925. Its alot bigger than the 680 and some people said the 680 was barely enough to start the car sometimes and I didn't want to be boosting the car during dyno sessions when the ignition has to stay in the ON position for tuning with the engine off. The box I got from a company called TAYLOR. It is specifically made for the PC920 and accommodates the next biggest battery from odyssey if I need to upgrade in the future.

I also got a bunch of my EARL's fittings in. Drain line looks awesome and bulletproof! I'm still waiting on my forced performance oil restrictor to arrive. Also looks good with the fresh red paint in this corner!
