lol, i thought my 4" open dp sounded more like a diesel truck than a coffee can muffler. i think im gonna just run the 70mm exhaust and if i think its too quiet =) then ill see...

I wouldn't say s2000s are rare.... Even CRs...

But I agree with you that I wouldn't want to drive around with an open down pipe all the time.
