S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Opened my engine pistons look funny.

i think junkys right that erosion on the ring land if that was detonation the top ring would be in pieces and possible the upper ring land i run a 50% meth mix right now aem middle jet 7 psi wonder if thats to much this has me worried . maybe i need bigger injectors and a smaller meth jet ? maybe someone can chime in and give us a metallurgy lesson i would check to piston to cylinder wall clearance the piston skirts look a little scuffed

Measured the new top rings R1 & R2 on each bore and they came in within specs so pistons went in. While dynoing the car a while back with the W/M inj I came to realize that at 400whp range the car didn't like anything more than 400cc of fluid injected and putting more in would require to pull more fuel than my likening. Basically used the W/M to be more in the safe side. Go figure.. 10k miles injecting 7k of them with theoretical 600cc of fluid poured in. Might put 30/70 M/W ratio next time.

You blew your headgasket due to detonation and the pistons are evidence of it.

No problem..We were discussing the nature of the pistons displaying it on the intake side only and not as unit. Thanks for your insight. Ill run it safer next time around.

What makes you so sure?

The damage looks too smooth to me for typical detonation, plus where its located. If this is a moderate case of detonation, does that cause HG failures? Not saying it isn't possible, but in this case I'd like to see the HG.

Just because I have seen 2 motors with the same damage lose a headgasket with too aggressive timing and the pistons looked as above. Its possible that there was another cause but I am drawing from personal experience.
