only if you change the numbers lower on the scale. Basically there are cold start fuel additions used with the EMS to get the car to run correctly when its cold.
Thanks. The values for the AEM basemap (1.19) and my tuned map are the same for

Initial Crank Pulse table
Start Extra vs Temp table
Warm Up Enrichment table
Start Extra Decay table
Idle Target Base table (minimal changes)

If these are the same, then should I be able to use the corrected coolant sensor cal table values without a retune then? Sorry to hijack, LOL.

edit: n/m, I used the corrected values for ~160 degrees F and above. Thx for the info

It's kinda weird your only seeing 3 bars, when I was stock I couldn't vtec til it got to 3 bars, usually went up to 5-7 just normal cruising. Now I see 7-9 bars w/the Modifry ect fix. I too have completely stock rad/thermo/Honda coolant/fans and switch. It's an 05 ap2. Did you adjust the modifry settings so 3 bars is 190-205ish? I didn't, I like the finer graduations that he put in stock.
Thats prob because the ap1 cluster only goes up to 3 bars when fully warmed up and ap2 go up to 7 or 8 when fully warmed up.

thanks for all the info guys. the aem does in fact read higher than normal, you can prove this by knowing you stock fan switch is correct and it should kick the fans on at or around 204*

you can use that as a base to see how far off your aem reading is.

Oh, ok. My fans are kicking on @ 215-217

So I'm off around 15 degrees.

Which puts me @ 200. I feel better about that...but would still enjoy sub 190's.

I should have the car together enough to test this out. I'll report back then.

crusining at 70 mph or slower, i see 180-183 temps. sitting at a light i see no higher then 197, but i have the fans on all the time. when i was crusing at 85-90 on the highway, saw 187 temps. on the dragon, raping the car hardcore i saw no higher then 203.

hope that helps. i run stock honda fluid in the radiator right now. will go to water/water wetter one of these days just cause it never freezes in south florida.

Awesome, I'll have an idea of where it should be.

Thanks
