Ordered Greddy Today
... wow. Are we really arguing and fighting on the internet?
We are all mature adults here (I hope), and thank you for your opinion on the Greddy Turbo kit DJ.HITS. I do agree it dosent make a ton of power, I agree its very expensive, however, money is no object to me, my happiness is. Tons of power is not my goal, i'm just looking for that "little extra" FI. I have bolt-on's (Exhaust, Intake etc) and it dosent satisfy me. Its my car, its definatly my money, and its my opinion. Thanks for you input! I agree with some of it.

Well, I was seriously going to with the Inline Pro kit.. But after researching and finding out that Inline's kit isn't COMPLETE, I opted for the Greddy. To complete the IP kit, you have to buy EMS, injectors and oil relocation kit. From the prices I have gathered, this is saving me 1700 plus retaining the stock ecu and obd2. And with that figure I would only be able to make 350rwhp on stock compression where as the Greddy is capable of 300+ rwhp on stock compression. And if you want to add more power you are looking at another 1k+ for ball bearing turbo upgrade and supporting mods. To me, 300rwhp is PLENTY for a light car such as ours. I am sure 12's are achieveable with 300rwhp. That puts us up ther with vettes. And for me, my car is a DD so I dont need anything much faster than that.
All true statements, its just nice to have the extra power when you need it why not run a bigger turbo and lower boost?? Then you always can up the ante if need be. Besides arguing is fun I like stirrin up trouble.

Yes you do need an EMS and injectors with the IP kit however oil relocation is not needed. Also you can use a greddy emanage / ultimate as your EMS which will retain your OBDII perfectly fine. So add an emanage blue plus injectors, your hardly at 600 dollars.
Ball bearing turbos are not needed to make 350+, all you need is a HG which is 250 dollars so again your numbers are completly off. Please show me a stock greddy turbo unit that makes 320+ on stock compression....There is a few dynos that with 10psi (the safe limit on stock headgasket) and it only nicks 300rwhp.
Spreading false information is as bad as DJ.HITS flaming someone for purchasing what THEY want to buy. Don't join the band wagon.
Both kits are fine it all depends on what you want out of it, enough said.
lol, Agreed.
Once I get the Greddy, i'll probably love it for a while, and eventually yearn for even more power... perhaps then, I will shop for a stronger turbo set-up.
I have a local friend with 600hp in his 04 Suzuka, and I rode with him and thats way to much power. For now, i'd like to sit comfortable at 300...

I have posted my hp numbers already, and been through this a hundred times. I made 218hp with a snorkel and intake on a dyno dynamics, might I add the most accurate dyno out. The fact that someone would spend that kind of money for that little performance dosnt make any sense. You can do all your bolt ons and cams, and make a very good number with a good tune. Besides I pay for all my shit not like mommy and daddy payin for your car or put the turbo on a credit card, cause anyone can do that. And the fact that you base someones knowledge by the length of time on the site is ignorant, and shows how little knowledge you have.

As stated, the base IP kit that you are comparing the price to, is not complete. The greddy kit is. You need to compare them correctly.
And people have told you in the link that you CAN build an n/a car w/ the same power as the greddy kit, but the cost would definitely exceed 4k, and you definitely won't be CARB legal.

If you are worried about being illegal your car should stay stock, down to the paper filter, because if I am not mistaken, last time I got pulled over the state trooper told me my exhaust was illegal. So your point right there is not valid, besides the fact you no longer have a warrenty. Besides inline pro's basic off the shelf kit is less than the greddy, also if you are a site member they offer you a discount. And just because someone is a paying member dosnt mean he knows more than someone who is not, it just makes them stupid to pay for a membership on here that they can get for free.

Greddy and IP kits are solid and apparantly give great customer service. I can't speak for Greddy like I can with IP (they are great), but people here seem happy with it. I agree with you in that the IP kit is a little more kick in the pants for the money but this guy just spent 4-5 grand - why don't you cut him some slack?
Each kit has it's pros and cons - and at the end of the day - you only have a 14 second s2000 just like everyone else on this board. Why don't you go away and hang out in the JDM forum or something?
