Default overboosting fix!

ive read some forums and they seem to have similar problems... but not exact same!
my manifold cracked, and i got it re welded... and put all back together.. seems like it was running great! I used a autozone gasket for the wastegate connecting to the manifold its not an exact fit.. and i ordered the real turbonetics waste gate gasket and it should be here tommrow!
3 days ago when i first took it out... ive railed on it and i hear boom popping noise.
the coupling popped off the intercooler piping thank god.. easy fix!
my car is set at 8 psi, but after i put the manifold and everything back together if i get on it... its going to like 15-18 so my ? is do u think im overboosting cause my waste gate is licking threw gasket or is it something else..
thanks
I really appreciate

P.S sorry if wronng forum.. its forced induction but then its also a problem so i wasnt sure ha
ive checked the boost line going to the waste gate and its tight and seems to be ok.
and i dont have a boost controller

a cracked manifold can cause overboosting... if you already repaired the manifold by re-welding, chances are it will never stop cracking.

+1. What setup do you have, i.e. manifold, what turbo, and your choice of controlling the boost. It can definitely be another crack in the manifold but discrepancies in your vacuum and boost sources can cause this as well.

sounds like you forgot to hook your waste gate lines back up. I had a similar problem when I first installed my kit.
