P0171 when burning out
hello everybody, i am new to this forums stuff. I really need your guys info and help. simple question how do i fix a P0171 code on my 2005 S2K. my S2K is sporting a Greddy Turbo kit, greddy e-manage ultimate piggy back ecu and aem failsafe gauge. i just recently bought the car with upgrades. On my 200 mile trip back from the dealer after i was getting used to driving manual again and burned out a little and the car threw the code P0171. like a nimrod i dc'd the battery and flushed the code that way. It showed up again after an accidentally burnout because of premature clutch release. i've read this forum and seen that its not a fix to do that. PLEASE I ASK FOR YOUR GUYS INFO AND HELP TO REPAIR... can i fix this lean code myself?? could it just be the turbo setting of the code due to user function?? After the code pulls up the idle is a little rough. Please help me..... thanks in advance guys.
Kind regards, Jeremy

P0171 is a lean code, meaning the engine isn't getting what it needs for fuel.
You should fix this ASAP!
The code only occurs during closed loop operation, meaning most operating conditions except full throttle.
If it's running lean under these conditions, there's a good chance it's running lean under boost as well.
You either need to get it tuned very soon, or there's a problem in the fuel system.
I would not boost it AT ALL untill you get this resolved!

so you understand what 'Lean' means to you and why you should tune it. Lean means you are not getting enough fuel. This will result in melted pistons if you continue to drive and boost it. Get the car tuned NOW.
injector scaling or tps setup in the emanage can cause this but it usually only happens after you first install an emanage while the stock ecu searches for the right set of maps to use go to a competent tuner and see what they say. do you have a wide band? if not you need one now! good luck
