Default Please help...

Hey guys, I'll be installing my supercharger this weekend and Im lookin for some advice, FYIs, etc. I bought it from a good guy locally and the system appears to be great. I was wondering....:

1) ***Are there any parts that would inevitably be missing from being left on his vehicle?? (Bolts, washers, air pump inlet filter, ANYTHING??"****

2) Anything I'll definitely need to get??

3) Do I really need to do the whole greasing the NPT thing when Im taking off the oil pan anyway?? Can I just clean it thoroughly while its off??

4) Anyone have a pic OF the NPT that I need to buy?? (In case its not included....a lil hard to inventory EVERYTHING)

5) Also, where is an ideal place to install my boost sensor and water temp sensor for the aftercooler??

6) Any additional words of wisdom for the already assembled blower assembly???

And....anything I may be forgetting to ask that you deem important.
Any info/advice is GREATLY appreciated/anticipated. THANKS!!!

I bought my Vortech kit used as well. Everything went pretty smooth, but be prepared to make a few trips to the auto parts/hardware store for misc hardware that was not included. The only things I could not find anywhere were 2 studs that were very long (I forget the size) I ended up buying a dye and steel rod and making my own temporarily while I specially ordered the studs online.

Also you will need a special tool to remove the OEM crank damper pulley. You may (or may not) find one at your local Honda dealer. My dealer told me I had to buy one and they had to order it. I just drove down to Summit racing (45 min drive for me). PM me if you are interested in it.

Good luck!

Yeah, I figure Im gon have to make a couple trips. We'll see tho. Thanks for the reply. I get %50ish off Snap On so I just ordered the crank pulley tool from them. What kind of silicone should I be using??

Yeah, I have the installation manual printed out.

Did you have the air pump inlet filter thing included in your kit or did you have to replace that somehow?? Thanks.

I just bought a 1/2" (double check size) K&N breather filter while I was down at Summit, works fine.

I would reccomend using some sort of lubrication while threading the oil pan, it will help make "better" threads.

Sweet, thanks for the help. So is there a specific silicone I should use on the threads I wanna "lock"?? And on the VTECH solenoid?

When installing the oil drain nipple into the oil pan I used some teflon tape to seal it. I also used teflon on the oil pickup from the VTEC solenoid. The instructions say not to, but I did. There have been a few reported oil leaks, teflon would eliminate the problem. Just be careful and don't use a lot. The VTEC solenoid also has a screen filter which I would reccomend checking after a few hundred miles of use just in case.

No prob, I know it was a headache just knowing where to start with a used kit.
