I got the tct worm sandblasted so don't think its that.. I forgot that i clocked the cam gear when i did the 3mm ionstall so weould that account for some slack in the chain.. the sound is coming from what i can tell.. right where the tct is.. or around there.. anyt other ideas?? i also was told to check that all the motion springs were in under the rocker assembly.. i checked and they were all there except on cap had come off and it was the spring.. i put it back in the spring and re asse,bled.. it went in snug but not as snug as the other ones.. do you think this cap could fall out of the spriung again.

it only does this at6 first start up and then slowly gets louder. I was also thinking that because i am running 5w30 that maybe i am not gettiung enough oilk pressure and mauybe i should go to 10w30

any input is appreciated

how did you fix it? The 3mm puts alot of extra stress on the timing chain and tct, wouldnt doubt if the springs in the tct are shot now or the chain stretched...

Did you make sure the idler gear bolt made it all the way down and is seated correctly? It will be sunk into the head a little when its all the way seated correctly. Sometime the washer in the front of the idler gear on the bolt will drop and wont let the bolt seat all the way down.
