thanx for the advice and opinions guys. I do autox the car and understand what "ZTEC" is saying, but ive also heard that the powerband with the lovefab kit is very consistent with little to no turbo lag. But can the car with my current supporting mods run mid 12's with either a SC with 10lbs of boost or less, or the Lovefab kit at stock boost???(i am guessing the block will be safe with these boost levels???)

I believe the LoveFab kit would pull at least consistent mid 12's with the base boost of 8 psi.

I think a SC'd S would be hard pressed to make consisted mid 12's on 10 psi. But I may be wrong.

PM or search Black Nugget of FF2Skip, they both are running setups with superchargers with similar boost levels and they would be happy to help with info at least as far as superchargers go, Honestly - I think you are asking alot of a stock bottom end regardless of Turbo or Supercharger.

Whatever you decide, I would be more than happy to help if I can.
If you go Turbo - It sounds like Lovefab has a great system!

My opinion is if you are automatically wanting to exceed the base supercharger kit save yourself time & money and go with the turbo. You can sell your toda header, take out the cost of the EMS in the Lovefab kit and you'll be well under the cost of the supercharger kit while having gobs more power.

what he said $4700 w/out fuel support, or $5200 with the GT1 option(no fuel support also).
flexer on here walked a SC'd car by 4 car lengths with my basic kit at 8psi if that tells you anything...

Sounds like you are running about the same things I am minus the S/C. Well at least you are when I ran the 13.06 as it says in my sig. When I ran that time I was boosting 7.5 psi... so 12's at 10psi no problem if you have the shifting and launch down.

was that before you built the block? I have already replaced 1 engine and dont want to do it again, so i am very concerned with the safety of these setups in respect to my stock block. Would the lovefab kit at 8psi be safer than a SC at 10psi???

Actually I think the SC would probably be safer because you won't see 10 psi of boost until 9000 rpm.

With a turbo you will see 8 psi around 4500 rpm all the way to 9000. So, this would put a little more strain on the motor.

Turbo is soooooo much better though!

and I think i will be happier with the performance. Even the cost is reasonable considering I already have the AEM and 650cc injectors (sitting in my garage)....I still cant help but be concerned with my stock block blowing up and having to spend thousands to rebuild, not to mention the down time!!!!!!!!! Im not the type to run and turn up the boost everytime I loose a race, I just want a fast yet dependable S that i can take for an occasional cruise and run a mid 12 if im provoked, and take to the autox once in a while.

with that in mind, im still leaning towards the new LoveFab kit?????

Give Cody a call at LoveFab and ask him which of his kits he would suggest for autoXing. The LoveFab kit is definitely the best in my opinion.

I am the same way you are about the reliability and all. If you stay under 9 psi on the stock compression and motor with a good conservative tune with the EMS(don't cut corners when it comes to the ECU), you will be just fine. Tuning is the big key. I suggest getting a good wideband O2(Innovate or AEM UEGO), oil pressure, and boost gauge to keep an eye on things. This is what I run and you can even get an EGT sensor if you want to monitor the exhaust temps too.
