I would look into the lovefab GT1 kit also, but you want to get some type of vented hood, snice the turbo will produce more heat underneath. GOD i love the new style manifold.

Well if you have a good tune either way seems good...turbo is gonna be more fun for sure. Your Ti retainers should make it a bit safer too...in the engine blowing part.

I am the first for this kit(besides Cody)and I actually have the stock hood on and have yet to see any problems with it. Except a little spot on the heat pad that's attached to the hood. Remember, the hood is aluminum and tranfers heat very well.

Give Cody a call at LoveFab and ask him which of his kits he would suggest for autoXing. The LoveFab kit is definitely the best in my opinion.

I am the same way you are about the reliability and all. If you stay under 9 psi on the stock compression and motor with a good conservative tune with the EMS(don't cut corners when it comes to the ECU), you will be just fine. Tuning is the big key. I suggest getting a good wideband O2(Innovate or AEM UEGO), oil pressure, and boost gauge to keep an eye on things. This is what I run and you can even get an EGT sensor if you want to monitor the exhaust temps too.
I already have a AEM1052U installed in my car. i also have 650cc injectors in my garage that I havent installed (i hope 650cc is enough for the lovefab kit since he wont be supplying injectores for the price we discussed).

I didnt realize you had a stock block!!!!!

If you scroll up far enough at my first post, you will see my signature and what I have with my system and the numbers I put down without even tuning it yet. 600cc injectors are good up to about 450 whp.

Sorry I missed that you had the AEM.

By the way, I only have 8000 miles on my car but with this new setup Cody and I put on this past weekend, my clutch is starting to slip. I noticed you have the ACT clutch and PP. How do you like it and does the clutch pedal feel like stock still?

IMO the pedal feels very similar to stock 9but then again I havent driven a stock S in a long time). I highly recomend this clutch setup. i also did the Toda flywheel at the same time as the clutch and was very happy with the improvements from both.

so this is where i stand... I will be putting in a call to cody today to discuss the details, but I think im going with the Lovefab GT1 kit (assuming Cody will negotiate a little...LOL). The only down side to the turbo as I see it is the boost down lown and the stress it creates on the engine (full boost at 3500, 6psi with the GT1 kit). If thats the case then it shouldnt be to bad considering that I only see 3500rpm in 1st gear. After I shift into second I stay above 5k rpm threw the rest of the gears. So i can modulate the gas threw first if i need to and hammer it the rest of the way!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully the 4.57s will save the diff, and the titanium retaines and double springs will help protect the engine....???

You're going to be just fine.

But if you want a bit more lag and a bigger hit when boost comes in, get the t3/t4 60-1 turbo. I see full boost around 4500 and when it hits, along with VTEC, it's a huge rush!
