Default Plumb Back BOV?

Looking at data from the track I'm losing a lot of time and boost between shifts.

I think my BOV is setup to hard or possibly not functionning correctly so I need to look at that but was wondering if a plumb back setup would help also?

I know this is mainly for MAF cars but dumping boost to the intake should help the turbo stay spooled between shifts a bit?

Recirculated BOV does help get back into boost a little sooner than one dumping to atmosphere. But, simply adding recirculation piping to a poorly tuned or poorly performing BOV will not solve your problem. Check the diaphragm for tears, or better yet look into a very adjustable BOV such as the one from Synchronic. That should allow you to tune it more precisely for your individual setup.

I have the Inline Pro stage 1 turbo setup on my AP2.

The turbo spool between shifts, even my frequent above redline shifts, is horrible. 1.5-2 seconds before full boost comes on again. That's disgusting! Since I have an IP blow off valve, it's adjustable and easy to configure. Interestingly, it was open and venting to atmosphere at typical highway cruise speeds, which is generally -7 PSI manifold pressure. And it was fully open at idle. This, of course, contributed to slow spool up at highway speeds in 6th, as there was zero pressure in the intercooler and plumbing.

I tried various springs and opening pressures. I was able to improve highway throttle response considerably (and therefore the car's driveability and feel). But not "spool" after an upshift at redline. The BOV is closed solidly when the shift is completed and is out of the equation. Installing a very strong spring, to hold the BOV closed most of the time and only releasing "some" of the intercooler pressure upon lift throttle did little to improve spool time. The high volume of air in the intake system is a factor. As is the size of the turbo.

Short of shifting the car without lifting the throttle, it's a lag monster.

I have the inlinepro stage one chargepiping and the BOV is located on the passenger side near the turbo I was wondering if this location has anything to do with the lag?
other kits seem to have BOV nearer the throttle body

Rerouting the BOV to pre-compressor side will not help with boost.
