The problem may be in the plugs youre running. I had this problem from time to time when I was running non-resistor plugs. The non resistor plugs can have electrical interferences that can cause this. I switched to the BKR8EIX (resistor iridium) plugs and havnt had the problem since.

BTW.....Honda highly recommends not running non-resistor plugs in this car.

I have had no drive-ability issues, yes I had the incident where the car pulled timing, however with over 4,000 miles on the setup car drives great when just putting around

Name a plug for this car and I have tried it, resitor & nonrestistor, copper & Irridium, Gaps from 0.035" to 0.017", 7 & 8 Heat Range................ I only wish it was that easy. Thanks for the input.

I believe your car was what Tony was refereing to, aren't you building a new lowend. You had a VERY free flowing exhaust, open dump, better flowing manifold, HUGE turbo....... The 6262 is even a bit big from my taste I should have gone 5857 or 35R, I will be running factory exhaust again and a recirced dump. I think if I was lucky on my local dyno I would hit 440WHP.

There was only one word going through my head reading this "YET"

haha I know I know, but wouldn't a hesitation problem exist right out of the box?

Sorry I had to, seriously though, it was very faint on my last build and got worse with the new build. To me it feels like you are driving over a rough road surface even when it is smooth. I attribute the exageration in my new setup to my failing motor mount and the front mount turbo exagerate it versus my old bottom mount setup.

I bet there are a LOT of people that have the same problem but just don't notice over the exhaust resonation, stereo, bad roads and harsh suspension.

Maybe we can get Jeff to chime in and share his experiences/thoughts.

I have the same issue and I am running a stock head gasket. I am going to try swapping plugs tomorrow.

I have the ILP 3mm HG and I have no such issue. Just cruising around town seem fine to me like stock. Sometimes my car does not start super easy but thats usally just the AEM EMS. It takes a couple extra cranks, and yes I let it prime.

^same boat. but i have the cometic 2mm with the aem.

additional cranking time is actually preferred as it builds oil press before firing right away. i dont mind the 3-4 second crank since it actually helps with oil press.
