Default Popping sound from exhaust

Tonight I was driving around and noticed once when I revved the car it popped at about 8300. Then a couple of times when I was going through the gears I would get multiple pops near redline. It didn't do it everytime. I am assuming it is a little too much fuel up top? It has also started to get cold the past couple of nights, low to mid 40's. This is the first time I have driven it in the cold. Could this be related?

Running 8.5, stock plugs and it is the reflash from Hondata.

I appreciate the advice. I wouldn't think that would be it since it is the reflash. But it couldn't hurt. Better safe than sorry.

Too bad the FlashPro aint out yet - do you know anyone with an ODB2 real-time scanner? You can watch you’re A/F’s as well as other sensors which at 40 degrees, your boost is going to be well beyond 8.5 although since it is a Hondata tune it is highly likely that it is thick (mass production tuning) so I am wondering if this is a stumble like the first batch of KW kits? Plugs fixed that one…

If its not the AFRs. then check the gap on your plugs. I tried running the OEM gap with my hondata reflashed KW kit and i would blow out the spark @ 7600rpms+. It didnt pop (i have the oem exhaust and oem cat at the time), but i could feel the power stumble.

I narrowed the gap down to .33 and i gained 20whp and it was smooth to the 8600 revlimit.

^^I agree, you should AT LEAST be running BKR7E plugs. Or the 8E iridiums at the gap they are at when you buy them new...

I might try and regap the plugs. I talked to Chris at SOS when I fist bought the kit. He said the stock plugs should be fine. I may upgrade though.
