Here's a pic of mine. Eliminated pcv valve then ran that line and crancase vent port to vented catch can. Im still pushing the oil dipstick at times...

i actually like the idea of running closed loop but ended up jumping on the FI bandwagon and went vta. You'll need a good pcv valve (oem might be fine) to run closed loop. Youll also prob need 2 catch cans or one with 4 ports (2 in, 2 out) or i guess one can with 3 ports would work too (2 in, 1 out). Youll also want it baffled if running closed loop. And if running two catch cans or the one can with 4 ports option, you'll need to customize intake charge pipe for return line in addition to oem intake manifold return.
i like the idea of closed loop tho since itll draw the gases and blow by air out while youre at idle or off the throttle.

First off, that looks great and thanks for the informative response.
Second of all, what catch can is that?

I think im gonna go with a cheaper catch can setup and do VTA.
Specifically, this one: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un...et-up-1042882/

Trying to keep it simple. ^_^

Its a schhmuckbuilt can. I remember my brain was spinning when i was trying to wrap my head around all the different possible setups and which would be best. Now that i have a better grasp on it, i may fancy the 2in 1out closed loop setup...

Back a number of years ago when I Rotrex'd my 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder, we were most impressed with a product called Krankvent (IIRC, from ET Performance & Racing Products). It was specifically designed to address the crankcase over-pressure issue on boosted engines. They used to have a comprehensive FAQ on the how & why such a device is needed.

I found that FAQ article: http://www.stealth316.com/2-krankvents.htm

I plan to get one to install with my Kraftwerks Rotrex kit.

Question, would a krankvent be required on both the pcv and crankcase vent line or just the pcv line?

This is obviously closed loop right? And how/where does your return line go?

Would running a breather on the PCV valve itself and the valve cover vent be safe/fine? What would you need to use to block off the IM ports in that case?

Wouldn't this be the simplest and most effective catch can set up? One hose from the valve cover to this to filter out the oil and the other hose back into the intake pipe. This also has a easy drain valve and interior filter for the oil.

I know supra owners run this set up.
