E covers are 1/4 inch smaller in diameter or 1/8 inch less in radious than the s and sp covers.

Billet wheels don't spool faster nor make more power. They're just more expensive to produce than cast.

Just got off the phone with Fernando, real nice guy btw. He is actually running the 6265. These new billet turbos are just amazing.

Spoolin what made you choose to stick with the 3mm headgasket even though you will be on e85? I can not decide what to do for the life of me. I am not sure how comfortable I feel running 20+psi on stock compression. Especially since AMS will be tunning my car and they have little experience with an S2000 and even less with kpro. Anybody in the midwest want to get one of these big name tuners to come out in the spring.

The 6265 is basically the same turbo. Its just a little laggier and made more for the big end.

I spoke to Jon Lee at inline and my tuner and they both said that even though running race fuel on the stock hg, it still is more stress on the engine in the long run. Without the 3mm hg, you are compressing the boost in a much smaller space and thus will limit the detonation window. Having more area to put boost in and compressing it in that larger area helps keep the egt's down also. They also said.....look at all the big turbo/boosted race cars, they all run an engine compression ratio between 6:1 and 10:1. 11:1 is just too high for big power on boost in the long run even though it may be on race fuel. This is just what they told me and to be safe, I'd rather pop a $60 hg over time running big power rather than ruining a whole block due to a broken crank or whatever could occur.

This is a dyno of a 2.1L evo with a 6262 vs a 6765. Different motor but good info on what I would say they max out at. They pushed the 6765 to the limit and made 920hp. The 6765 had some bigger cams so a little of the extra lag is from the cams.

This is what I've tested.

I had a Precision PT6765 (NON billet) Ball bearing on my car & I decide to switch to the Precision PT6265 Billet Ball bearing both of them with a .82 A/R T3 back housing.

The PT6265 Billet made about 75-100whp more and it spools up way sooner than the PT6765 Non Billet.

On my car I have 700+whp from somewhere around the low 5,XXX rpm.

By my experience and what I've tested I would say that the best turbo right now for the any S2000 would be the Precision PT6265 Billet !!!

I would recomend this turbo for any application, from the 400whp to the 800whp set ups. All you have to play with would be the back housings.

Hope this help,

Fernando
