quick question.. is the 6262 aval. in t4 v-band .68 ar?
Yes, but you should really step up to the .81 housing. The reason is the larger housing will spool nearly as quick(possibly quicker, Ive seen it happen) and make power more efficiently.

why do you want such a small backhousing. This isnt going to be anything like your t67. The larger a/r will also really shine higher rpms and higher boost levels.

I strongly suggest getting these precisions in ball bearing due to all the failures they have had.

I'm pretty sure those JB failures were due to poor drain placement and not having the correct oil feed line causing too much oil pressure/volume to the turbo.

Naw, Ive seen failures on their journal bearing turbos when everythings good. They just cant take serious abuse, its a common thing with any journal bearing turbos.

I was just thinking the exact opposite.

i've run both the 6262 and 6765 on my s2000. when i tested 6765 the center cartridge was bit loose so i cannot tell you how much better they are. it was about 500 rpms laggier than the 6262 and made about same power. im going to be retuning the 6765 this week so i'll post updates soon. so far my favorite turbo for my s2000 has been the 6262. it might be making 730-740 because my intercooler is only rated for 650hp only.

No its a known problem on their journal bearings. Ive had one fail on me and I had the correct feed/return setup. Ive been building turbo cars for years. It wouldnt have been a problem if their customer service was a little better but its probably the worst ive seen.

They even tell the people who have had failures to upgrade to the ball bearing units.

They do perform well though before they break i must say.

Of all the turbos I have seen fail in the last 6months the only failures were on BB turbos. Ironically they were replaced with journal bearings and are doing just fine.
