oreillys said it'd be $50 plus $30 freight shipping and the afore mentioned 3-4 week wait, autozone said "$80 and $80 core charge", with no timeframe

got a quote from a new parts supplier, who said something like $535?

where are you able to get a reman for $55?

That is how a LSD diff works, but ours isn't an LSD.

It is a 'torque sensing' diff.

You still will just barely be able to move with an LSD. I've broke a few axles with the R200 and you can just barely get the thing to move. You give it any gas and it just free revs.

We most certainly do have an LSD. There are two main kinds of LSDs: torsen (geared like ours or clutch based) and speed sensitive type (viscous couplings and those other weird electronic ones and stuff)

hopefully you did not just "learn" that a torsen diff isn't an LSD, lol. Better go ahead and forget that

If you don't have an open diff then you have either an LSD, a spool, or a locker

"Torque-Sensing Torsen Limited-Slip"

And a torsen will act like and open diff if one wheel is off the ground.

i learned that if one wheel has no resistance then the other wont spin. i didnt think that would happen.
