hey brilliant, any updates? My friend was sent an ap1 ecu for his ap2 and his injectors/fuel pumps were missing too. Btw I decided I'm gonna go ahead with a 3mm headgasket from inlinepro, wastegate flap bore, 12+ psi boost, and emanage dyno tune. I wanna see what this kit can do. I'll let you know what happens.
everything got installed fine, I havent dyno'd it yet so i'm not sure how my a/f and boost levels are. I drove my car home for about 20 min and it felt really good. I took it up to 7k once, very nice power midrange but it def peaks and planes off once you get into vtec. I want to get it on the dyno b4 I open it up all the way.

I did some spark plug homework, glad I did. I think I'll go with the IFR8H-11 plugs instead of the BKR8EIX.

and why's that?
I think I'm going with the BKR8EIX for the iridium.

Only because the IFR tip is laser welded on, and although its still a small tip it has much more attachment area (.7mm vs .6mm). I don't know if I trust the .6mm tip, plus it looks like NGK is recommending the IFR over the BKR.
Even so, I'm sure the BKR works fine though, so its just my preference.

Parkerdw: Your erratic power maybe a result of heatsoak...as i've been doing my research on the kit it has been shown that heat gets sucked into the intake which then results in the ecu pulling timing causing a jerky non linear power delivery to redline...a remedy to your problem would be to develop a cai for your application away from the heat source such as placing the filter on the other side of the engine bay

Thanks. I don't have a vented hood and it does act strangely when driving through stop and go traffic, but I was having the same problems when going fullspeed around a track in vtec. Wouldn't the high speed airflow largely eliminate heat soak as a problem on a track?

Additionally, this jerky behaviour is consistent even if I run it hard first thing in the morning (after I get 3 bars), or if stomp the throttle at the tail end of a 4 hour highway cruise. Its consistently jerky in vtec.

I am getting new spark plugs put in today (hopefully), and I will gauge the results. If I get no improvement, I'm going to check the harness wiring then I'm getting the whole thing retuned again at ptuning in virginia. They have a quad retarding loading dyno and much more emanage experience than my current local tuner.

I just want to make sure I have covered everything before making that long trip.

I don't live far from ptuning...when are u going down there i would like to come watch and see the kit in person...if it happens first thing in the morning as well then idk...even on the track theres no secret that underhood temps are high given the load on the engine...hopefully ptuning can solve the issue...i'm waiting till spring and some more folks to dd the kit b4 i make my purchase to c what kind of issues people are encountering

where are you buying your plugs from?

http://sparkplugs.com/results_cross....R8H-11&x=0&y=0

The site says "We do not have an automotive fitting for this part in our database." and only applies these plugs to atv's and bikes. Someone help me cuz I need to buy 1 step colder NGK iridiums for my car. Thanks!

Greddy sent me the wrong ECU (I received AP1 but need the AP2). They also forgot to send me the injectors and fuel pump. I'm currently driving around very conservatively to break in the turbo, using the AP1 ECU. So far, the car is running fine and I do feel a noticeable difference in power. I'll keep you posted once the AP2 ECU arrives.
