Programable engine management
I heard about cars having tuning software where all they do is plug it into the obdII port and it flashes the ecu for the specific mods that you have? Like cobb tuning or diablo or something like that. Does anyone make it for the s2000? I heard from some companies you can get free tunes for life...I know it won't be an all out tune to make max hp but i've heard people running 400whp+ with them turbo'ed.
well the subies have this option... but sadly, us honda guys dont get that benefit (as of yet). If you want that, you can switch to a hondata setup. But I dont believe any company will just send you an off the shelf tune. You will always have to dyno.
damn kpro is a little overkill for what I'm trying to do. its just sounds so much easier to just flash the ecu and drive on a conservative tune with a wideband of course. I hope someone comes out with this for the s2k for 400-600 bucks and tunes for life sounds nice.
I'd research the greddy e-manage ultimate or the AEM F/IC, last I looked into the AEM F/IC, I believe there still may have been some issues, not 100% sure.
If you aren't looking for crazy numbers (over 400-500), e-manage ultimate may be better for you. E-manage ultimate would also be a lot cheaper to have someone tune than a standalone EMS.

Don't take this negatively.
BUT, if you are going to be to cheap to pony up the funds to do it right, save yourself the hassle and don't do it @ all.
I hate this saying, but it fits in this instance.
"You have to pay to play".
