Default Open source engine management?

I used to own an early model WRX (big turbo, utec, big intercooler, fuel upgrades, etc). Back then we tuned with piggy back computers and it was frustrating because we didn't understand what the ECU was doing under the covers so our results were always changing.

I'm looking to get a new STi when they come out. It's been a few years since I've been in the subbie scene. So I was looking into the engine management options. It looks like a few guys got together and wrote an open-source program to reflash the ECU. It looks awesome. You get the control of a stand-alone EMS with the driveability of the stock ECU. And the best part, it's free!

I was wondering if there was anything like this for the S2000? I've got a nasty tip-in stumble (I'm sure due to my catless Invidia). I'd love to tune it out.

Here is a screen shot from Enginuity...

Only the MY06+ have a flashable ecu. And I don't think anyone has come out with something like you describe for those cars.
