didn't torque it as much as it comes from the factory.
This is a misconception. They all come with 181 lb/ft, whether it be from the factory or from a rebuild. Notice how one part of the bolt is cleaned and dry and another part is lubricated? The part that is lubed is subject to some sort of metal to metal adhesion and this adhesion can stick that thing on there so tight within a matter of weeks, that it can take 500 lb/ft to get it loosened. It all depends on how well the lubrication was done and what factors are at work to promote that adhesion. Climate conditions may have a great deal to do with how that turns out. If it were truly on with 500 lb/ft, you would not be able to nearly take it off by hand after the initial 1/8th to 1/4 turn.

I find that a breaker bar type of ratchet flexes and it does not work, they break.

What I do is take my Moroso special tool (can't do it without this)
with my 1/2" drive ratchet and I slip my jack handle(the whole thing) onto the ratchet and it comes off in about 5 secs. The 1/2 ratchet will not flex. You will either break the ratchet mechanism inside the ratchet or loosen the crank pulley. So far out of a dozen times my ratchet has survived.

There is no way around it. You need the crank pulley tool to do this job.
