Default Ptuning Kit...Turbo smart BOV issue

Hey guys,

Happy Holidays, I've had my Ptuning kit for some years now and its running like a champ. As of recent, I've noticed when boosting around 0 to 10 psi the BOV (Turbo smart) doesn't really go off. As a result, when I let off the throttle I hear a flutter sound which although sounds cool, I know is or will eventually kill my turbo. Secondly, when I'm above 10 psi the BOV goes off fine. I'm not sure what my spring rate is and do you guys have any suggestions?

I'm sure I can hit up Ptuning but I figure I'll start here.

Thanks in advance,
Isaac

The Turbo Smart BOV is not a really loud BOV to begin with. Are you sure that it isn't opening up and that you are hearing turbo surge? I have the PTUNING turbo kit and still have the box for mine which should say which spring is in it or just hit up Freddy @ PTUNING (copafeel87 on s2ki). Spring rates are generally determined by how much vacuum your car pulls at idle. Perhaps you have a vacuum leak or you aren't pulling the correct amount of vacuum which is changing the way the BOV is performing.
