Thanks steve for the info, unfortunately that part is a BSPP female thread to male npt. It needs to be BSPT female thread to male npt. BSPP is a parallel thread, hence the last P. Where as BSPT is a tapered thread, hence the last T. Those two are not interchangeable. We spent quite a bit of time searching for the BSPT female x NPT male and it's not very common, hence the huge price difference over other adaptors.

Ahh, I totally missed that. My fault! Pegasus racing has one for a few bucks cheaper but you're right it's still super pricey for this adapter. It must not be a piece a lot of people need.

FYI to all. I just called Pegasus auto racing and inquired about the fitting in the link above. They told me that they don't carry any tapered threads at all. They did reiterate what PTuning said above which is that we should be fine with screwing in the BSPT male into NPT female w/ the use of thread sealant. They said to tighten to 1 1/2 turns pass finger tight or 12 ft-lbs (PTuning can you confirm this?)

Depending on how strong your fingers are, that is about right. We list in in our S2000 turbo kit installation manual as 2-3 turns after finger tight. Personally i'm not a fan of NPT or BSPT taper threads, but it's the norm when it comes to aftermarket automotive sensors.

Is this info right? Did they mean that none of their BSP fittings are tapered? I would think their adapter they are selling that I linked to would be BSPT because they are advertising it as working with pressure sensors, which most of the time are either BSPT or NPT. If it's actually BSPP, they need to change their website to reflect that. Apparently BSPP fittings actually need a crush washer to make a proper seal too.

I would stick with what PTuning recommends and just use some PTFE tape and just be careful when tightening

Pipe threads, Y U SO CRAZY??

Yes that's correct, they don't sell any tapered thread fittings, that's why I called. If you look at the website it only says BSP and fail to mention the last letter which is important. Is it a "T" or a "P"? You'll find out when you order it a get the wrong part! That's why I figured I post this here to save anyone the trouble from ordering it then going

Thanks! Here's another view.

The fitment is great except that it hit the head a tiiiiiny bit (not even .010"). I just shaved some material off the head with a dremel. I'm sure it was the lack of consistency with the OEM head castings ...Just fyi.
No gripes at all. The Ptuning workmanship is top notch!
