Honestly the 450 gas/e85 im running now IS quieter then my old Walbro 255, I swear. Both bought from SOS. Did some research and I don't think it's exactly a Walbro tho, more like a sister mfg. With them.

I'm not looking forward to dealing with fueling, I snagged some ID1000s locally for cheap and had them serviced by ID. I need to sort out what surge tank I'll end up with. Looking like SOS is the best option at this point running dual AEM e85 320 pumps.

SOS is ALWAYS a good choice. Radium makes a nice kit as well. Unless you are doing track days, a surge tank kit is a bit unnecessary.

Yeah, SOS looks like the best choice so far, the car spends about equal time street/track. I already have a bit of a misfire when fuel pressure drops a bit in the corners on R compounds.

Don't worry, I'll take your word for it Quick question though: I see on SOS's site that their IC core is limited to about 575hp. Would that cause any pause or concern in your eyes? Worried it might not flow enough or pose too much of a restriction... You will be limited on core efficiency due to size restrictions. Cannot really comment on this, however SOS has been known to post figures that are conservative



Agreed, but I also don't mind playing a little bit of the guinea pig here if the consensus is that it won't be too much of a leap of faith. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work as intended for my setup, and I turn around and sell it, then pick up the tried and true GTX3076R I have been in talks with a few people, I have not ruled out the 3576, but as mentioned I have been having nightmares about this.

Is the 450 as quiet as the 340? I know that seems a bit silly, but NVH all adds up, and If I can carefully select my components to reduce it, I will. No doubt that the 450 would be better just from a flow perspective though. The Walbro 450 is pretty quiet, makes less noise than my old 255







Sounds good on the internals. I saw the E85 sensor kit on their site, and I admit it looked like an attractive solution.



This being my first turbo build, I'm more than willing to take my time, consult people, and then take it to an experienced tuner. I'll willingly pay for expertise when I find it/need it. Agreed. Been there before, and although I consider myself good at maintenance, I think it's just a foolish gambit to not have a second vehicle for when something goes wrong
