Default PTuning Scavenging Pump?

I started on my wire tuck and noticed that the PTuning kit (bought the car like this) has one relay feeding a second relay and THEN straight to the battery. This configuration doesn't make sense to me. Anyone else have this configuration? TIA

Seems like overkill. Mine is just running power from the fuse box just like any ignition accessory. Ground of the relay to chassis. The oil sensor trigger wire under the vtec solenoid. Relay plugged into the oil pump wires. And that's it. I would take a pic but I'm away for a month on work. I don't see why there would be 2 relays. I have 2 but one is for my p-tuning/spal fan.

To clarify, I have 3 relays total. One for the fan and two for the oil scavenge system. Weird.

I know fan will act stupid with out their relay harness few times I blew fuse without it.. I want to do a tuck aswell but way pump wires are set up i haven't really wanted to mess with it... waiting for someone like you kyle to make a write up lol.

This was a neat idea (using the oil pressure switch as the trigger wire) on PTuning's part.

Ha. Maybe I'll do a writeup when I pull the harness again (this was just preliminary; more of a 'proof of concept' type of thing (ie. where to mount/tuck the massive relays lol))

Yeah one thing i do wish is that someone could come up with some good wiring DIY`s. The biggest struggle im having with my car right now is when I relocated my battery I also did the EPS box under the dash and the fuse box. So im having such a hard time finding the correct, but yet simple way to hook up my p-tuning oil pump, fan relay, boost solenoid, wideband, wideband/solenoid to ecu, boost gauge. And going back now I wish i didnt change it... I have the power cable from the trunk going to a distribution block up front... then have the fusebox, and 3 other main wires running directly off the distribution block. Now my car cranks but wont fire. After my rambling all im saying is wiring is a bitch when your clueless like a blonde and have no diagram to go off of... looks like ill be spending money for this guy I know to finish tucking and lengthing the pass. side engine harness and make sure its safe. Sorry for my long post unrelated lol

If I have time, I'll post a DIY wire tuck (labeling each connector/etc). I'm quite familiar with the (factory) harness. I have just never used a relay to feed a second relay; just seems weird (and likely superfluous). Which wideband do you have that it necessitates using a solenoid? For what it's worth, to move the fusebox into the passenger foot well (beneath the heater core) you only need to lengthen 7 (small gauge) wires.

You plan to shield the fuse box incase core goes bad and leaks? I guess that be a real slim chance idk. I like footwell idea also seen one in passenger air bag section.

I probably won't make a shield for the fuse box. I would mount the box in the passenger airbag section (definitely looks clean in that location), but I still have my passenger airbag.
