Thank you 'MissMyS' (formerly dsddcd) for keeping such thorough records! I was able to locate a thread that confirms the use of a single relay for the oil scavenging pump:



I'm going to delete the second one (as it seemingly serves no purpose (as well as creating another potential point of failure)).

^This will work as well, but I decided to make my wiring as simple as possible. For the fan relay, I cut the factory plug (using the two wires as the trigger (86) and ground (85)). Behold my paint skills (bask in the majesty):

No. If you're going to keep the airbag, I would just mount in beneath the heater core (w/ a shield if you're concerned with potential leakage from the heater core).
