How do you get to it if you move it over in that area if you blow a fuse?

I mounted my fuse box in the passenger air bag location on one of my old Civic's. You simply mount the fuse box facing up (using brackets to align the fuse box with the dashboard). Similar to the following pic:

^ that's what did to my old civic too! I was thinking doing the same in the s2 just not sure since I never could figure out how to get rid of that air bag light was annoying.

For what it's worth, to move the fusebox into the passenger foot well (beneath the heater core) you only need to lengthen 7 (small gauge) wires.
Had to extend the 12-14 wires to the center of the esp unit the way i routed it. Then running the remainder of the factory harness on the outside of the fender so you have to extend the factory headlight grounds, abs orange wires, horn, ac, and 2 big pain in the ass thick red and green power steering wires. no worries though... I almost gave up and am just going to pay this honda wiring guru to finsh what I started... worst part was the car was perfectly fine before I messed with it! Battery relocation turned into full out wire tuck chaos lol

Interesting. I simply remounted the horns (so I didn't need to length the wiring). I'm only running a single fan (with a PTuning relay kit; trigger wire and ground are wired into the factory wiring/Power from the relay is direct to the fusebox (on the 100AMP fuse (fusebox) w/ a 40AMP inline fuse) and the ground wire to the ground bundle (factory headlights)), so I didn't need to lengthen the stock AC fan connector (it's simply bundled/zip tied for the time being). To relocate the fuse box to the passenger compartment, I lengthened 7 of the wires. I also relocated the headlight grounds (so I didn't need to lengthen them). The EPS connectors (two of the three) needed to be lengthened.

So in total:

Fuse box--7 wires (all small gauge)

EPS--5 wires (2 8 gauge (red, green) and 3 small gauge (I use 18 gauge))

Do your headlights work? What about your emergency lights?

Humm Im away on work.. Wish I would be right in front of it to remember what I did exactly. I never got that far to even try the headlights... car wont start... so never tried. Where did you put the bundle of grounds. the ones that were normaly on the inside front by the pass. headlight. Pretty much the transpiring events that happened with my tuck were and still are this. Relocated all that stuff... battery was dead... jumping... charging... still not starting... got a new battery... cranking cranking cranking... test spark... no spark via AEM... plug in stock ecu... car fire right up and idles... aem back in... no spark... send ecu to aem... its fine. put stock ecu back in... not starting with the stock ecu... gets spark but seems weak.

What im thinking is map got deleted off the ECU somehow when i was playing on aem tuner possibly... and new battery is just not strong enought/bad grounds to fire it up on the stock ecu now hence spark, fuel, but wont start now.... IF there was any enthusiests around connecticut i would be forever grateful and buy them mad pizza and beer for the day if they could come help...

I'll snap a pic of the new ground location when I get home from work. I wish you were closer dude; I love troubleshooting!

Also, what gauge wire did you use coming to/going from the distribution block?

Here's a pic of the new ground location (I'll take better/more pics when I document the full tuck):
