Are you going hurting any transmission or diff with power over 450?
not asking about drag launch, stock can break with that. More like full throttle 2nd to 3rd shifts.
I was over 550whp for about a year and never broke the stock trans or rear diff. I didn't launch the car or do any full throttle shifts at all. You'll want to shift nicely or else you'll destroy the trans.

So is boost creep worse with a recirculated dumptube compared to dumping to atmosphere? I would think so, but curious if anyone is running a recirculated dumptube and having issues with boost creep. The restrictor plate seems like a must, but can it hold low boost (~8psi spring pressure) on say an oem exhaust with recirculated dumptube?

Also, has anyone tried or test fitted a garrett G25-660? IWG or EWG?

Boost creep would be worse with a recirculated dump tube. Open dump is best for boost control.

Ya question is how much worse. I have no desire to run open dumptube for several reasons. Anyone running recirculated dumptube on low boost?

I'm recirculating on what I consider low boost for now: about 13-14psi. Has the restrictor plate in and a 75mm HKS single. It was pretty loud at first but has quieted down considerably. Much more subtle at WOT than dumping, and I prefer the sound.

Hi All - I am about to get my Ptuning turbo kit within the next few weeks! Super excited!!

Few questions:
  1. Roughly how many hours should a mechanical shop quote me to install this kit? I know it's hard to gauge but I just need a rough idea to know if the mechanic shop is over charging me
  2. Besides trimming down the engine motor mounts by 1/8", is there anything else I should prep the mechanic on what to adjust within the kit?
  3. Regarding Ptuning Exhaust Adapter, I want to keep my Berk HFC 70mm. How much modification do I need to do to my HFC to fit directly into the Ptuning downpipe?
  4. Do I have to use the restrictor disc in the downpipe to avoid boost creep? What negative effect will this restrictor disc do? Any other way around it?
  • I op'd in for the GTX3076r gen II and planning to go low boost (400hp on the high side - I am happy)
  • I will be using Berk HFC 70mm (ideally)
  • Gotuning Greddy Spectrum Elite Dual Exhaust 70mm
  • Recirculating dump tube setup
Thank you for your comment!

Just a word of advice, I thought I'd be happy with 400HP, I was happy with 650, you won't be happy with 400

400 is fun, but 600 is way more fun. The beauty of this turbo kit is you can achieve both as long as you have enough fuel.

You cant bolt on a cat to the system ,its designed to bolt to the catback.

If you want to run 400whp max you'll need the disk installed to limit boost pressure. Once you get bored of 400whp, remove the disk and tune for more boost.

Join the S2000 PTuning turbo kit owners group on Facebook. I am the admin, Ill add you once I see the request.

I second what the above 2 members have mentioned, 400whp is cute, but you'll at least want 550whp. You can do that safely on ID1300 injectors

It seems like there have been a lot of mixed reviews on boost control related to this turbo kit. I run the HKS 2.5" exhaust on my car and was able to run waste gate boost, which is 8psi, with no boost creep at all. I have the external WG dump, and also the newer Gen V waste gate although I'm not sure if that helps with flow at all. On the stock F22 block I made like 380whp on a Mustang dyno on 8psi.
