PW39 wastegate question, valve seat?
i got a precision pw39 wastegate and I am wondering why its not lining up flush with my kings performance log manifold.
the pw39 wastegate is the stock wastegate for the kings performance stage 1 turbo kit.

that ring on the bottom of the wastegate is called the valve seat according to the manual. Is that needed? it seems like with that valve seat in place it does not sit flush with the manifold. im afraid if i tighten the wastegate down to the manifold with that seat in place then it might leak.

Yes you need it. It will actually put resistance / spring pressure on the valve to make sure it seals and closes up.
If you don't have it there, you will always leak some exhaust pressure and will degrade the performance of the turbo setup.
