Q 4 High Boost S2K Owners
I am currently running 18 psi and think I am hearing some compressor surge in my GT35R.
I'm using the HKS SSQV BOV, which I thought would be more than capable of handling 18 psi...but maybe I was wrong. Someone recommended the HKS Type II BOV to me, which is rated up to 43 psi. That just seems like overkill, since my setup will never see more than 30 psi.
Any comments or suggestions from those running high boost or who own either HKS BOV are welcome!
TIA

on my friends car he is boosting around 18-20 psi and on his hks 2 bov it doesn't open much nor does it make much of a sound, he likes that because he isn't too much of a fan of the bov sound
If the valve reacts fast and the outlet is large & efficient enough, it should work and handle high boost.....
I have a tial bov installed and i get compressor surge on light throttle close. Letting off at full boost creates a split second of surge, then blows out.
I have the synapse bov, waiting to get new pipes done,....this one will have zero surge, cant wait...... will post when its done.
