Thumbs up Question about backfiring last night

Last night as I was driving down to the shore at 1:30AM ( I got a ticket for no license plate btw at a DWI checkpoint), anyway the Temp dropped down to 50-55 degrees (top down heater on FTW), so anyway the car was feeling rather strong so I did some WOT runs and occasionally it backfired/ exhaust popped just once (car hesitated slightly), could this be because of the vast temperature change in such a short amount of time?

I had to turn the MB controller almost one full turn down to keep it at 9.5PSI

how the hell should I know haha

It was burbling on downshifts, leading me to believe its rich, but I am going on the 13th to get it checked, I havent been able to install the AFR guage.

When it gets colder out would the car more likely run rich or lean? I would venture to say lean because of the density of the air but I dont know, my car was tuned in 50ish degree weather

I did replace my Greddy Plugs with the NGK Copper V-Racing plugs earlier in the day........... gapped to somewhere between .30-.32

"I havent been able to install the AFR guage."

Do you want your motor to pop? Help us help you. Backfiring is usually super rich exhaust hitting air.

haha I know I will install it, but I just figured maybe it was common for the car to act wierd with a vast change in outside Air temp in such a short amount of time

Is it at high RMP's or low, I am new to this also but mine runs around 10.8 at high RPMs which is a bit rich. I really think you need to install the AFR. I think you want to be around 11-11.5 no more than 12.
