Default question about fuel pump rewire

Because of my turbo kit i had to redo a ton of wires by the fuse box because they melted together. I redid all of them today but now my fuel pump wont prime. When i give it power manually it works. My question is that if you do a rewire does the ecu no longer control when the pump gets power? Im asking because my power source for the pump is directly from the battery. I dont hear the relay click either but it looks good. Im just trying to see where i should start.

Thanks

Did you rewire (run a relay) to the pump?

Or did you rewire the melted wires?

The relay is an electro-mechanical switch. The fuel pump is actuated through the relay, and the relay is actuated by the stock 12V fuel pump wire.
