Default Question re: induction mods on Comptech SC

Hi All,

Currently have a base comptech kit, car is otherwise stock (no aftercooler).

If I add a ported throttlebody/manifold, can I just slap this on and away I go? Or am I risking anything re: leaning out, etc? Car is not tracked, just the occasional pull through the gears.

Thanks!

There is no point in buying upgrades for power if you dont have a custom tune..you are literally wasting money

I dont know what to do re: the tune. I dont want to lose smog-legal status. Im willing to leave whatever gets left on the table because of it.

I don't know anything about keeping the smog-legal status as im not in cali But your car has to have some kinda piggyback or something to adjust the fuel/timing with a SC. That being said, I had a noticeable difference with a a ported TB and mani. def. recommended with an FI application

You will need to turn up the fuel pressure on the rrfpr to keep from leaning out. You will get an increase in flow from this. Without a wideband you are just guessing what your afr is. Should have one installed anyway?
