you would be right...a billet rod is basically cut right out of a solid block of aluminum where as the forged rod while strong is molded into its shape. A billet rod is going to be very lightweight and as strong as the metal it was cut from.

I bet if someone went really crazy on a F20 or F22 you could get 11k rpms out of it and have a huge powerband because like you said, the F series engines in my mind are superior to the 4g63. Nothing against a 4g engine but the F series is just as strong in stock form and its got a much better rod/stroke ratio so it loves to rev where as the 4g has to be built to rev.

i think he is talking about billet steel rods not aluminum.

It's my understanding that Laskey's drag built F2x motor makes over 1000 hp.
