Unless you are flooring it RIGHT before you shut the engine off, your turbo will not be spinning for very long at all when you shut down. Keeping the engine idling for a short while allows the oil to continue circulating, keeping the temperature of oil in and around the bearings cool. The purpose is less for lubrication and more to prevent very hot oil from sitting in the bearings and "coking".
