Default SC + 4.5" pulley + 650s + EMS

What is the role of the fuel pressure regulator to my setup?! I don't have it on there now yet when my tuner put it on the dyno cuz he had nothing else better to do, it ran almost like stock with the tuning he did. I took it out that night and just aimlessly drove around for a good while. I mean, i know what a FPR does. At idle when engine vacuum is high, it opens the valve lowering fuel pressure. At higher RPM's when engine vacuum is low, the valve closes increasing fuel pressure. But is it essential to run 9lbs of boost. By adding the FPR, will it run smoother? What are the effects?

Setup:
Vortech Supercharger
4.5in Pulley
650cc Injectors
AEM EMS
3.5bar map sensor

Thanks,
Carlo

You will be fine with the stock fpr. Just make sure your stock one does not have a drilled orifice per the Vortech instructions.

I've got the same setup but 750 injectors and no 3.5 bar sensor yet... stock FPR and I'm not having any problems. I got 314 hp/292 rwtq (sounds funny but it's right) on the dyno. What kinda numbers did your tuner get?

John Z: Thanks buddy, ill looking into if the stock fpr is drilled or not

calaceyfl: We got 329 to the wheels so far, but this is his first time with S2000 but not with AEM EMS. I'm having a buddy of mine just come and and tweak what the tuner was done already to try and squeeze more outta her.
