Quick Fuel Pump Question
Does the ECU need to be in for my fuel pump to run?
I really wanted to see if the fuel pump was working while I wait for my ecu to get here. So I pulled the fuel line off and turned the ignition forward.
Now on most cars you would be able to hear the pump running at that point, but I did not hear it running, nor did gas come out of the fuel line.
Im hoping the answer is yes and I just need to plug the ecu in. Otherwise something is wrong with my fuel pump install.
TIA

If you didn't need the ecu then the fuel pump would just continue to pump gas whether the engine wanted/needed it or not... That would be bad!
