DIY: Fuel tank purge kit
For those who like to purge the gas tank empty for fuel changes (changing tunes/fuels, removing E85 before winter storage, etc), here is a parts list for quick and easy fuel tank purging. These 3000 series Jiffytite fittings flow 4+ GPM unrestricted, perfect for quickly draining the S2000 tank. They drip a little when connecting and disconnecting, so use a rag/paper towel to absorb the minor spill.
For Kpro users, you can select to run the fuel pump constantly within the software. All others, you may have this option in your aftermarket ECU, otherwise you will need to wire in a master ON switch to run the pump and empty the tank, this shouldn't be an issue because you probably already have a fuel pump wire relay kit installed and are aware of the wiring status of your car. Once the tank is low, turn the pump off and add your new fuel. Another tip, I hear that without the restriction of a fuel pressure regulator a stock fuel pump can empty the fuel basin faster than the fuel can enter it, so you will either need to live with the fact you will not completely empty the tank, or you can toggle the pump on and off to get almost all fluid out, and even then it probably will not be possible. The purpose is to get as much fluid out of the tank as possible within reason.
Below is a list of the parts I used to make my setup. It was about $125 not including the fuel rail. It is a fully contained setup, so I never have to worry about fuel being sprayed on painted surfaces or the drain hose going off life a fire hydrant.

I just disconnect the rubber hose near the firewall where the hardline from the tank transitions and put it in a fuel container and do key on and key off till it is empty. It's free.
My method does not require undoing anything, simply plug in the fitting and turn on the pump. In addition, I wanted to avoid having to cycle the ignition like your method.
I just disconnect the return line and put it in a fuel container and then start the car and let it drain. It works great if you don't have access to a laptop to turn the pump on, but this idea is great as well.
install a 30 amp bypass switch on the power wire to the battery. Then you can purge with the car off
