Default Quick Question

I stripped the PC off the VC (lol @ the abbreviations) and I am working on drilled out the VC a bit to accept my -10 bungs.

Which way do the cam gears turn?

I'm thinking (wanting) to put the last bung on the drivers side area where the cam gears would be.

If they spin counterclockwise I think I'd be ok, but if they spin clockwise I think they would sling oil right into the bung.

Wanted to ask before I drilled.

Thanks all in advance

just bore out the spots where the oem ports are and weld in the bungs there. then you dont have to worry about slinging oil or having it accumulate in a catch can only to be discarded.

the cam gears turn left(counter clockwise) since the crank turns clockwise and they share the one Cog gear.

I did.

The OEM pcv was easy enough, but I don't want to dick around w/the one port closer to the cam chain. More difficult to get right, and it would be alot easier to tack one on the end.

I'll post up the results.

Thanks

if you need to weld on a thin sheet of aluminum to act as a baffle on the inside of the VC shouldn't take more than a min or two.

Yea I thought about that.

If it becomes an issue, I'll have to do that.

Curious to see how it works out.
