quick question about turbos
Oh, and turbos consist of three main sections; turbine, CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly), and Compressor.
During installation all three parts rotate against each other to allow for fitment but should be securely tightened before running. The turbine position is set by the exhaust manifold. The CHRA should have the oil feed at the top and the drain at the bottom. Some water cooled CHRAs should also be mounted at an angle for water flow apparently. And the compressor should be mounted so it's output is in a suitable direction for the charge piping.
Make sure the bolts securing the CHRA to the turbine and compressor are tight. I had some problems with this that cost me two turbos. I use Nord-Lock washers now to keep mine tight.

Wow! Thanks! Everything I needed! And thanks for the proper flaming. Lol. O while I'm thinking of it, has anyone used the website USEDTURBOS.NET? Jw. I have been looking at the stuff they have in stock. They have new, used, and rebuilt turbos and I'm looking at one.
