Quick question on Turbo Tuning
Hey guys,
Just had a quick question about increasing the boost on my inline pro stage 1 curring running 10.5 psi.
My tuner at the time advised me that I would be ok to boost to 16psi. When we originally tuned, it would spike to 12.5 and then go down to 10.5 in the higher rpm's.
So to clarify, when he mentioned I would be safe to 16psi, does that mean he just add/reduced timing per psi and the same for the air fuel?
I would ask the person who tuned my car but we ended on bad terms so my only other option in raising the boost a few pounds would be getting a completely brand new tune.
I dont want to do that yet since my engine does have a lot of miles and would rather wait until something goes to then contact a new tuner and start the process again.
Looking at the aem, I do see the boost cutout is at 16psi.
Thanks for any info.
