Default rattle noise behind dash board

hey guys,

i have this rattling noise coming from behind the dash board at 3k-4k rpm, is very annoying coz i'm always at that rpm range on hwy. anyone have a cure for this problem? hope you can help me out, is getting very annoying!!

YES, is coming from the "dash area". also there is noise when i'm cruising along and under acceleration between 3-4k rpm!!

do you know what the problem is? is annoying me SO MUCH ON HWY!! and i have to drive hwy everyday! do you have a solution pushin9?

I have this noise too! Always have had it since I installed the ctsc... its able to be heard only when moving, and very annoying... I initially checked all the bolts for tightness, then lost interest and decided to just deal with the noise.

J66- does your noise seem to be coming from the pass side area? Mine does...

Most likely a lost oil cap, fell down behind engine. Now resting on top of trans. Rattles annoyingly. Surprisingly common.

Get up under car (safely on jack stands), reach around trans and feel around on top, up front near bell housing.
