Dashboard vibration noise
I have this same dashboard noise you are discribing in your post. Some times when I go over a bump at low speeds. Drives me crazy. I looked up under the dash to see what might be wrong but therre isn't much room up there to see what's going on. I thought about wedging something under the dash to quiet this noise but havn't found the right thing to do it.
Grab the leather stick shift boot with your index finger, and thumb while your in 3rd, or 5th gear, and pull the boot up off of the shifter rod, and up against the base of the shifter knob, while your hearing the noise. On my car the damn leather boot actually vibrates on the stick part of the shifter, and it always sounds like it's coming from the dash. Kind of weird, but thats where my noise comes from.
I have a raddle that comes and goes, It is my rear view mirror. I know it is not the dash, but sometimes you hear things in places they are not.
I hear the voices talking to me right now and I am all alone.

Thanks for the replies. I did find in the search that someone found a repair to be opening driver and passenger door look for round plastic plugs on the inside corner of dashboard. There is a mounting screw check to see if loose. I did this seems to have solved problem thanks hope this helps you.

My noise is coming from the dash. I faintly remember someone pulling a FURBIE (one of those stuffed toys) from under the dash to try to knock down the low rumble from the dash. Thanks for all the information guy's. I really appreciate your effort.

have to re-adjust it every once in a while to make it stop buzzing for a couple weeks or so.
