tial didnt weld in that ring on any of the 44mm ewg that i ever used. though i will only run turbosmart EWG on any car that I boost again. which will be in the next 6-12 months for the s2000 and AFI turbo gets ahold of the car.

Yeah, I pressed the ring in and reinstalled it. I forgot how big of a pain in the butt it is to reach in there.

I started working on it and it was fine outside. Got done with the ring and a few other things and then there was at least an inch of snow on the ground with a big temperature drop. Gotta love Nebraska weather. Now theres about 3 inches of snow on the ground.

I think its time to winterize it lol.

Well, leave it to Nebraska weather to warm up again, melt all of the few inches of snow, and dry the streets.

I took her out today and its a big difference. I can actually hear the jet whistle noise now lol. I didn't beat on it much and only took it to 6k rpms once.

Without the ring in and second gear, it took to 9k rpms to barely hit 12psi. With the ring in and second gear, it hit 12psi at 6k rpms.

mase did your tune right? email him if its even needed to retune. if your crontrolling boost with aem, then it will still peak at same boost, spool will come on sooner, so midrange tune may need tweak, but if its a boost comp map i dont think it matters, and i know mase woulda scaled the map so theres not going to be a shit gap in the midrange area on the tune.

honestly, just drop him a email, confirm its good or i bet he can email you a tweaked tune and you will be fine to have fun with it
